MacRitchie and Beyer Join Marylhurst University's Board of Trustees

Marylhurst University has elected Andy MacRitchie and Ruth Beyer as trustees to its Board. Founded in 1893, Marylhurst was one of Oregon's first institutions of higher learning.

Andy MacRitchie is Executive Vice President of Strategy and Planning for PacifiCorp and the U.S. Division of ScottishPower. MacRitchie has a degree in electronics and electrical engineering and an MBA from Strathclyde Graduate Business School in Scotland. He also completed the Executive Development Program at Wharton Business School.

"I am pleased to represent the continued close association that Marylhurst University and PacificCorp have had for many years," said MacRitchie. "Its commitment to exciting developments in lifelong learning is consistent with our commitment to education."

Ruth Beyer is a corporate attorney and Managing Partner of Stoel Rives' 200-lawyer Portland office where she represents public and private business clients on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and other legal/business issues. She earned a B.S. at Oregon State University and a J.D. from Notre Dame Law School. Beyer is recent President of the Multnomah Bar Association and is active in numerous civic and charitable activities.

"Marylhurst has created a model that works for those who must plan their education around their other responsibilities." Beyer shared. "There are many beneficiaries of a Marylhurst education working in our communities today, and I look forward to supporting the continued success of the university."
