Marylhurst University Recognized for Small Class Size in U.S. News & World Report America's Best Colleges

U.S. News & World Report America's Best Colleges 2006 edition lists Marylhurst University as #2 in the 15-state western region for highest proportion of classes under 20 students. Prescott College in Arizona was listed as #1. Marylhurst is the only university in Oregon to rank in this category.

Ninety-five percent of Marylhurst's classes qualify for this category. Class size data is measured on two components, the proportion of classes with fewer than 20 students and classes with 50 or more students.

Marylhurst in ranked in the Best Universities Master's division, which includes institutions that provide a full range of undergraduate and graduate programs. Within this category, 572 universities are ranked in four geographic regions. Schools are evaluated by their mission and up to 15 indicators of academic excellence. This year, 95 percent of the schools returned surveys from which the data was gathered.
