Marylhurst University will introduce the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program at the Graduate Studies Information Session on Saturday, April 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Flavia Hall Salon. Department representatives from seven graduate degree programs will provide information and answer questions. To register, call 503.699.6268.
"Marylhurst's new MAT program is committed to developing educators who have the skills to make a positive impact on the glaring gap in achievement levels caused by complex social and economic factors," said Tom Ruhl, education department chair. "Education practitioners designed the program from the ground up to prepare teachers for the contemporary challenges students face."
Degrees to be featured at the information session are: Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT); Business Administration (MBA); Art Therapy Counseling (MA); Applied Theology (MA); Master of Divinity (MDiv); Doctor of Ministry (DMin); and Interdisciplinary Studies (MA) with concentrations in Organizational Communication, Gerontology, Liberal Arts and Spiritual Traditions and Ethics.
