Permaculture Expert to Speak at Marylhurst University

For Release: March 09, 2011

Nick Bezzarides will speak at Marylhurst University about the unique business applications in permaculture. In this business-focused seminar, Bezzerides will present the basics of permaculture. Then he will talk about how to use permaculture principles in business areas such as vertical integration, supply chain security, reduced costs, stability through diversity of revenue sources and increased employee satisfaction.

Permaculture is an ecological design system for sustainability in all areas of life including building natural homes, growing our own food, catching rainwater, building communities, treating wastewater and restoring diminished landscapes and ecosystems. The concept of permaculture is based on designing ecological human habitats and food production systems that are modeled on relationships found in the natural ecologies.
