Two events will be held this Saturday, July 16 on the Marylhurst University campus to honor Dr. Thomas Ruhl, founder and chair of the university's graduate education department, who died last week.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. in St. Anne's Chapel. Following the service, a "Celebration of Tom Ruhl's Life" will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. in Clark Commons. This second event will feature several speakers and formal opportunities for guests to share their memories of Ruhl.
A scholarship fund to benefit children of immigrants has been set up in Ruhl's honor. Memorial contributions can be made to the fund at Marylhurst University, P.O. Box 261, Marylhurst, OR, 97036.
