Shakespeare This Summer in the Lajos Balogh Performance Shell

Shakespeare returns to Summer on the Green at Marylhurst University with three outdoor shows in the Lajos Balogh Performance Shell. The series, in its third year, includes a free play once a month this summer guaranteed to entertain audiences with drama, tragedy and lively merrymaking. "Hamlet" and "Twelfth Night" will be performed by Shakespeare in the Parks program of the Portland Actors Ensemble. "As You Like It" will be performed by the Original Practice Shakespeare Festival in the manner Shakespeare's own actors did at Globe Theater.
Patrons are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase.
