Marylhurst Holds Prior Learning Assessment Information Session

Event shares details on how to turn work/life learning into college credit

Life and work experience can be translated into college credit through a rigorous program offered by Marylhurst University. Learn how at the university's Prior Learning Assessment program spring information session Monday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. on the Marylhurst campus. Through the university's PLA program, students may earn credit toward – and reduce the expense of – a bachelor's degree by documenting knowledge they've gained during years of work and life learning. At the information session, PLA staff members will share examples of how corporate and on-the-job training, community service, travel study, independent research and related learning experiences can be evaluated for credit toward a degree using a writing- and research-intensive process.
