Marylhurst Recognized as Military Friendly School
For a fourth consecutive year, Marylhurst University has been named one of the top
military friendly schools in the nation.
In an annual list released by G.I. Jobs, Marylhurst has once again been recognized
as one of just 15 percent of colleges and universities in the country that embrace
America's service members and veterans as students.
Marylhurst earned high marks for offering flexible class schedules, prior learning assessment, a military scholarship and veterans support.
New this year, the School of Business is offering a professional development seminar
called Leading Differently: The Servant Leader in the Military Environment. This one-day
seminar, held November 3, 2012, will be led by David McNamee, a 20-year veteran of
the U.S. Air Force and director of the Center for Servant Leadership at Marylhurst.
