Jessica Bumpus Lands Job at Energy Efficiency Firm

Jessica Bumpus, MBA in Sustainable Business student, has joined SmartWatt Energy's
National Grid Small Business Program office in Syracuse, NY as a sales representative.
"As the program continues to grow, it is crucial for us to add members to our team
who are smart, passionate and eager to help businesses save energy and money—all qualities
that Jessica possesses," said Matt Cinquanti, SmartWatt Energy's vice president of
utility programs.
Jessica Bumpus recently graduated from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry
with a bachelor's degree in conservation biology. She is currently pursuing an MBA
in Sustainable Business from Marylhurst University in Portland, Oregon. While obtaining
her undergraduate degree, Jessica was very active in educating the local community
about environmental sustainability and worked with Syracuse area businesses to develop
and implement energy-efficiency action plans to reduce energy usage. As a sales representative,
Jessica will be responsible for prospecting and developing new small business customers
for SmartWatt Energy's National Grid Small Business Program.

Faculty Receive Innovation Grants
Marylhurst faculty received "excellence and innovation" grants supporting work in business, interior design, art, sustainability and music therapy.
