Science Lab Wednesdays

The Department of Science and Mathematics introduces Science Lab Wednesdays, a fun way for everyone to learn more about the world around them.

Each week's demonstration will focus on one device, phenomenon or on-going experiment — from Tesla coils to dry ice — that will inspire and be approachable in a hands-on way. The open labs will be very informal; any activity can be explored at leisure, for as long as attendees wish to stay.

The first demonstration on April 24, 2013, will feature the Van de Graaff generator.

Science Lab Wednesdays are held from 12 to 2 p.m. on the lower level of Flavia Hall. (Brown bag lunches are permitted in Flavia 102 only.)
