Ethan Benatan Speaks on IT and MOOCs

Marylhurst CIO Ethan Benatan will be a featured panelist at Beyond MOOCs, an online seminar addressing the transformative elements of massive open online courses — connectedness, scale, massive data, and institutional and credentialing models — and the role information technology is playing in this rapidly evolving landscape. The three-day webinar runs July 30 through August 1, 2013.

Dr. Benatan will join colleagues from Boston University and Duke University for a discussion titled Creating the IT Architecture for the Connected Age on August 1.

The seminar is hosted by EDUCAUSE. EDUCAUSE members lead, manage and use information technology to shape strategic IT decisions at every level within higher education.

Ethan Benatan is Chief Information Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at Marylhurst University. He holds a Ph.D. in computational biology. Among his numerous publications and presentations, he is a contributing writer at InformationWeek.com.
