MAIS alum Lori Anne Rising contributed a chapter to Finding Fulfillment in the Spiritual Age, landing on Amazon's best seller list for new releases in the spiritual self-help category, days after the book's publication in June 2013.

Rising's chapter, Waking Up, is her personal story of how she came to discover and pursue her own purpose and passion.

She has been a professional nonfiction writer and editor for 20+ years and a certified life coach for more than seven years. She earned an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Marylhurst University in 2013. Her thesis was titled Ten Lessons for Creating Influential Authorship: What Contemporary Authors Can Learn from the Two Most Influential Nonfiction Books Published in America Since 1900.
