Jay Ponteri Featured on Late Night Library

Jay Ponteri, English literature and writing faculty, was the featured author on Late Night Library's podcast on July 25, 2013.

Late Night Library is a literary arts organization dedicated to promoting talented writers early in their careers. Its programs include two podcast series, Late Night Conversation and Late Night Debut.

Late Night Debut is a podcast dedicated to promoting debut books. Each episode features a discussion about a notable debut title, a conversation with the author, and news about the latest happenings in book culture.

In July, Late Night Debut featured Jay Ponteri's memoir, Wedlocked. According to their website, Wedlocked "offers readers an intimate, idiosyncratic view of a human institution that can so often fail, leaving its inhabitants lonely and adrift." Writers Scott Nadelson and Emily Kendal Frey discussed Wedlocked, and Ponteri talked about his writing and marriage, among other things.

Jay Ponteri directs the undergraduate creative writing program at Marylhurst University and show:tell, The Workshop for Teen Writers & Artists. His memoir, Wedlocked, is published by Hawthorne Books. His chapbook of short prose, Darkmouth Strikes Again, is being published by Future Tense Books.
