Two conferences focusing on trends and technology in bioscience, OregonBio 2014 and the Medical Electronics Symposium, will be held on the Marylhurst campus in September 2014.
Religious studies alumni Carol Higgins and Guadalupe Medina presented at the 2013 Archdiocese of Portland Catechetical Conference in October 2013.
The conference, Faith Formation: A Lifelong Journey, was held
October 19 at the University of Portland. Sister Carol Higgins presented Mary, Woman of Justice and Sister Guadalupe Medina presented How to Begin Breaking Down Barriers in Order to Become a More Welcoming and Inclusive Community.
Carol Higgins earned a Master of Divinity from Marylhurst University. She serves as Marylhurst University Minister, liturgist and sacred musician, and teaches in the Department of Religious Studies. She is a Sister of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.
Guadalupe Medina is the director of Hispanic ministry outreach for the Franciscan Spiritual Center. She earned a BA in Religious Studies & Philosophy and a Certificate in Pastoral Care from Marylhurst. She is a Sister of Saint Francis.
