Dennis Cunningham Prints Illustrate Stafford Book

Art faculty Dennis Cunningham created 24 original block prints to illustrate The Osage Orange Tree, a rare work by William Stafford, to be published January 14, 2014. The book will be available at Powell's Books, Amazon.com and at the Marylhurst bookstore.

The publication of The Osage Orange Tree celebrates the 100th anniversary of William Stafford's birth. This commemorative project was conceived by Kim Stafford, editor, in collaboration with John Laursen, book designer and Dennis Cunningham, illustrator.

The complete suite of Cunningham's prints for The Osage Orange Tree will be on display in Streff Gallery, located on the main floor of Marylhurst University's Shoen Library, through January 2014.
A special "meet the artist" reception will be held January 22, 2014, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

Limited editions of original prints by Dennis Cunningham, signed and numbered by the artist and printed by master printer Torey Browne, are available for sale. Inquires can be made at osage2014@gmail.com.

Dennis Cunningham is a faculty member in the Department of Art & Interior Design. Torey Browne is a Marylhurst alum and teaches in the School of Business and Department of Communication Studies.
