Dr. Jennifer Sasser, human sciences chair and gerontology program director, is one of several experts who will lead Oregon Humanities' Talking About Dying Series starting in September 2015.
Dr. Jennifer Sasser will talk about "Gero-Punk Adventures" at the Sanford Center for Aging Distinguished Speakers Series at University of Nevada-Reno on April 8, 2014.
Her talk, Gero-Punk Adventures: Is it Time for my Guitar Solo Yet? will be streamed live on the Internet starting at 5:30 p.m. Pacific time.
Dr. Sasser will also meet with students and faculty at the University of Nevada-Reno as part of the university's Careers in Aging week.
The mission of the Sanford Center for Aging is to enhance the quality of life for older persons through innovation and leadership in interdisciplinary aging-related research, education and community outreach.
Jennifer Sasser leads the gerontology program and Department of Human Sciences at Marylhurst University. She teaches several courses in aging and the life course, and she maintains a blog at GeroPunkProject.org.
