Crystal Dawn Walker Named Executive Director

Crystal Dawn Walker, interdisciplinary studies alum, was named executive director for Kittitas Yakima Valley Community Land Trust, an affordable housing nonprofit in Ellensburg, Wash., in July 2014.

The Kittitas Yakima Valley Community Land Trust provides home ownership opportunities to individuals who may not otherwise qualify for traditional loans. This is accomplished through the community land trust model of home ownership, creating perpetually affordable housing for generations.

Crystal Dawn Walker earned a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Marylhurst University in 2011, going on to pursue a master's degree at Sofia University in Palo Alto, Calif. and serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer. She has a deep passion for cohousing, intentional communities and empowering women.
