Educational assessment at Marylhurst University is ultimately the responsibility of
the provost. The dean for learning and assessment heads the Marylhurst assessment
program, whose staff also includes the educational assessment specialist and the assessment
research coordinator. The assessment committee, a committee of the University Faculty
Council, provides faculty leadership around educational assessment and has an advisory
role to the assessment program.

Dr. Susan Carter, interim chair of the MA in Interdisciplinary Studies Department, was named vice president of the Pacific Northwest Region of the American Academy of Religion / Society of Biblical Literature in May 2013.
