Marylhurst alum Kent Blumberg, M.S. in [Business] Management '88, has been named Vistage Chair in Baton Rouge, La., for Vistage International, the world's leading chief executive organization.
Blumberg will be the second Vistage Chair leading 20 members in the Baton Rouge area. Vistage member companies in Baton Rouge employ more than 1300 and generate more than $364 million in revenue.
In this position, he will be responsible for building and facilitating groups of CEOs who meet monthly to discuss their business issues, share expertise and provide one another confidential help in critical situations.
Blumberg will also serve as an executive coach, meeting individually with each group member to provide accountability and support to improve the member's business performance and personal leadership skills.
Blumberg received a master's degree from Marylhurst University and, as the founding partner of Kent Blumberg Partners, has helped a variety of companies develop and implement organizational strategies for improved performance. His strengths include executive and entrepreneurial coaching and growth strategy management, core competencies required by Vistage for its Chairs. Having held COO, CEO and Senior VP positions with three different companies, Blumberg is experienced in consistently setting and achieving high-yield goals and growth.
