CLOSED Full-Time Associate FacultyCLOSED: 5/09/08 Assist the Graduate and Undergraduate Business Department Chairs with the following tasks: recruit, train, develop, evaluate, and schedule Business faculty, with particular emphasis on online faculty training. Maintain day-to-day communication with students and faculty. Help identify and recruit new faculty. Assist in evaluating and admitting potential students. Teach online and on campus MBA and/or undergraduate business courses. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Develop and deliver training for business faculty to ensure teaching excellence and consistency in online and on-campus courses. 2. Collaborate with Department Chairs to develop strong curricula and best teaching practices. Assist with course and program development. 3. Coordinate teaching faculty schedules. Invite adjunct faculty to teach proposed courses. 4. Maintain day-to-day communication with students, faculty and academic partners. 5. Assist in evaluating and admitting potential students. Attend monthly MBA and undergraduate business information sessions. 6. Collaborate with Department Chairs to develop a pool of qualified faculty for the graduate and undergraduate Business programs, with particular emphasis on online faculty. 7. Teach courses in the graduate and/or undergraduate business program meeting yearly teaching load requirements. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:1. Master's degree in Business, Management, Education or related field required. Terminal degree preferred. 2. Management experience in a business or academic environment. 3. Experience teaching working adults in a business or college setting. 4. Experience training and developing online faculty strongly preferred. 5. Experience with developing and/or teaching online courses preferred. 6. Strong familiarity with course management software/online teaching applications. 7. Understanding of, and appreciation for, a student-centered learning environment within a liberal arts institution. 8. Strong collaborative, team-playing and multi-tasking skills. 9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 10. Efficient, organized, yet flexible and adaptable to a changing environment. POSITION HOURS:This is a full-time, non-tenured position, requiring some teaching.
