Housekeeper

Two openings: one full-time, one part-time

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Provide a clean, sanitary, and spotless educational environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Clean offices, classrooms, cafeteria, and retail/event spaces by: emptying wastebaskets; vacuuming; disinfecting telephones; dusting or wiping down sills, file cabinets, tables, bookcases, chairs, pictures, lighting fixtures, furniture and appliances.

2. Vacuum all carpeted areas, dust mop wood floors, and mop concrete or linoleum floors according to established schedule.

3. Clean restrooms using disinfectant solutions/chemicals by: mopping floors; spot mopping; disinfecting sinks, dispensers, faucets; wiping down walls; cleaning mirrors and other fixtures.

4. Keep restrooms stocked with sanitation products (paper, soap, and miscellaneous supplies.)

5. Transport garbage and recycling to dumpster receptacle.

6. Assist with monthly and yearly stocking of supplies and inventory.

7. Work with full Facilities team to provide a cohesive environment that supports all campus activities.

8. Follow established schedule and written procedures/policies.

9. Attend in-service programs as required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

1. Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.

2. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

 3. Ability to twist, bend, squat, and climb stairs.

4. Ability to lift trash cans, vacuum cleaner, and bedding (up to 20 lbs. frequently).

5. Ability to operate cleaning cart, vacuum, and washer/dryer.

6. Must be able to pass physical capacities test.

7. Ability to be certified in First/Aid & CPR (Optional).

POSITION HOURS:

There is one full-time position and one part-time position. Position hours are either early morning/afternoon or afternoon/early evening. Positions require schedule flexibility to provide coverage for a rotating weekend schedule every 3rd or 4th weekend.
