Marylhurst University President

Nancy Wilgenbusch, Ph.D.

Nancy Wilgenbusch, Ph.D., became President of Marylhurst University in July 1984, with a career already distinguished by achievements in college administration and community service.

She has led the University through a period of unprecedented financial stability and curriculum development.

Her national appointments have included educational leadership on the board of the Council of Independent Colleges. She is a Founder and Fellow of the Oregon Chapter, American Leadership Forum. Wilgenbusch was recently selected to serve as chair for the Richmond Clinic Board and as chair of the Leadership Committee for Clackamas Women's Services. She serves on PacificCorp's Regional Advisory Board as well as on parent company ScottishPower's Board, West Coast Bank Board, Cascade Corporation Board, Goodwill Industries of the Columbia-Willamette Board, and on the Ethics Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Wilgenbusch is a former chair of the Portland Branch of the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank. As a member of Financial Services Volunteer Corps, Wilgenbusch traveled to Siberia to teach best business practices to the country's business leaders.

Dr. Wilgenbusch holds a Ph.D. in education, specializing in community and human resources, from the University of Nebraska. She received her master's degree from Texas Women's University and her baccalaureate degree, magna cum laude, from Catholic University in Washington, D.C.
