Marylhurst professor explores communications career opportunities

Marylhurst University will host an all-day seminar Saturday, June 27 designed for aspiring communications professionals looking to build a career during tumultuous economic times.

Kathryn Hubbell, a Marylhurst adjunct professor, is coordinating the workshop, titled "Recession as Opportunity: Managing and Developing Your Career in Difficult Times." Participants will learn how to think like an entrepreneur in taking charge of their careers in today’s tough economy. Activities will include panel discussions on various communications careers, a self-assessment exercise, tips on networking and use of social media, and guidance on starting a business. Panelists and guest speakers will include executives and consultants from a variety of communications fields.
