The DSST Program is a nationally recognized testing program that provides students the opportunity to earn college credit through a variety of lower and upper division level examinations.
Fees for the DSST are $100 per exam. Make checks payable to Marylhurst University.
DSST exams are sent to Prometric for scoring. Two score reports will be issued: one to the student and one to the institution. To have the score report mailed to Marylhurst, the code 9743 must be entered on the answer sheet.
Test scores are usually mailed to Marylhurst within four to five weeks of the test date. Credits for exams successfully completed will be recorded as transfer credit on students' Marylhurst transcripts.
Marylhurst is not an open testing site – only admitted, degree-seeking students are eligible to take the DSST exams at Marylhurst.
Marylhurst students living outside the Portland metropolitan region may find local test sites by visiting the DSST website.
Admitted Marylhurst degree students may arrange to take DSST examinations at Marylhurst. Registration forms are available in the Center for Experiential Learning and Assessment or download form here. Group testing dates are scheduled at least once per term.
