As part of the Liberal Arts Core requirements, applicable to a Marylhurst bachelor's degree, you must meet specified learning outcomes. Some non-credit outcome assessments are coordinated by the Center for Experiential Learning and Assessment.
There are a number of ways in which you can meet these outcomes, including taking the courses at Marylhurst, transferring comparable coursework from other institutions, earning credit through the Prior Learning Assessment program, direct course challenge, credit by exam and non-credit outcome assessments.
These options are especially useful for students with a lot of transfer credit and/or whose remaining credits must be at the upper-division level.
