Two degree programs available (B.A. or B.F.A.)
Marylhurst University offers two degree programs focused on art: a general Bachelor of Art (B.A.) or a Bachelor of Fine Art (B.F.A.). Each provides solid training applicable to a wide range of careers in the visual and design arts.
Enhance your degree with a focused area of study
Each Marylhurst art-degree program includes concentration areas that allow students to specialize their studies. Within the B.F.A. program, students can select focus areas like photography, drawing, sculpture or contemporary practice; and our B.A. in Art program include a preparatory track for those interested in a career in art therapy.
We recognize the richness of diversity among students. Whether you are attending full-time for professional training, or taking a class or two to acquire an appreciation of art, you will feel welcomed.
Learn from practicing art professionals
Our faculty are practicing professional artists — ensuring that your Marylhurst education is directly related to contemporary practice outside the classroom.
