Community

Marylhurst University connects with the local community in many ways.

The Marylhurst Community Orchestra provides performance opportunities for local musicians and offers several concerts a year to be enjoyed by local audiences.

The Portland Wind Symphony rehearses on the Marylhurst campus and accepts community wind, brass, and percussion players via audition.

The Marylhurst Choral Union provides opportunities for local singers to participate in a large ensemble choir.

We encourage parents of young musicians to inquire about Marylhurst's preparatory music program as well as our summer choir camp and the Creative Arts Day Camp for kids with special needs.
