Dawn Iwamasa, MA, CCLS, MT-BC is a board-certified music therapist and certified child life specialist. Her clinical expertise is in the medical/hospital setting, primarily in pediatric settings. Dawn is actively involved in music therapy education, clinical training, and advocacy efforts. She regularly presents at regional and national music therapy conferences, and sits on the executive board of the Western Region Chapter of the American Music Therapy Association.

Aside from teaching for Marylhurst University, Dawn currently coordinates evidenced-informed early-stage programs for the Alzheimer's Association Oregon Chapter. She also teaches for American Public University's Human Development and Family Studies Program. She holds a bachelor's degree in music performance and a Master of Arts degree in Music Therapy both from the Conservatory of Music at the University of the Pacific.
