Darcy Edgar completed a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies at Marylhurst in 2009, writing about aesthetics. Darcy has worked in art museums as a curator and director, with a special interest in contemporary art. Her interest in photography is not as a practitioner, but as a historian and curator. She is also a trial lawyer and has published work on legal problems of material culture (copyright, plunder, pornography, appropriation, etc.) and Native American cultural and repatriation issues. Darcy has taught at the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia. She moved to Portland in 1995 and began teaching at Marylhurst in 2010.
