About

Barbara Blackstone is a skilled mediator and negotiator with extensive experience in identifying and analyzing conflict issues and developing appropriate resolution systems in public, private, nonprofit and academic settings.

She currently heads Blackstone Associates, which focuses on managing workplace conflicts and teaching women to become more powerful.

While at the Minnesota Office of Dispute Resolution (1995-2003), Blackstone developed and implemented the state's award-winning Workplace Mediation Program and also developed mediation programs for human rights, ADA issues, vocational rehabilitation and special education.

She is a volunteer mediator for the Multnomah County Small Claims Court and as a volunteer helps people filing for restraining or stalking orders at the courthouse.

She is a former board member of the Oregon Mediation Association (OMA).
