Meg Roland Presents at Medieval Studies Conference
Dr. Meg Roland, chair of the English literature & writing department, will discuss blogging about medieval topics at the International Congress on Medieval Studies in May 2013.

Writers influence our ideas, persuade us to action and stir our emotions. An appreciation of language and literature enhances our ability to inspire and influence others through our own writing. If you are moved by the power of the written word, explore our English literature and writing program. Together with professors and peers, you will explore how language and images affect us as individuals and as members of communities.
As an English major, you are afforded the time to study literature and to write, surrounded by like-minded individuals and thoughtful mentors.
English literature and writing students participate in a core curriculum which focuses on interpretation and creativity. You can choose from concentrations that emphasize different aspects of literary studies, including literature, creative writing and text:image. Classes are offered both online and at our historic, beautiful campus. We launched a fully online degree option in January 2013.
Our graduates are accepted into competitive MFA, MA and Ph.D. programs. Like many graduates, you can find a satisfying career and/or continue the writing life you began at Marylhurst University.
