Acclaimed author, journalist, and teacher Ariel Gore will give a talk about her magazine Hip Mama and blogging on Thursday evening, July 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Old Library.

She will give a reading from her most recent book, End of Eve: A Memoir (Hawthorne Books, 2014) on Friday afternoon, July 25, 4 p.m. in the Old Library.

Ariel Gore is the writer-in-residence for Marylhurst's English Literature & New Media July residency.

The English Literature & New Media program is an innovative, low-residency, online bachelor's degree program that enrolls hip mamas (and others) from the greater Portland metropolitan area as well as the rest of the United States.

Both events are free and open to the public.
