Kathryn Burrows is pursuing a Ph.D at Rutgers University. Her work focuses on the intersection between the "normal" and technology, and how bodily technologies mediate the "normal." Her dissertation work focuses on the deaf population and deaf assistive devices. She has written and published about the expanding diagnosis of bipolar
disorder, and she is currently working on a manuscript about subthreshold psychiatric conditions.
