Dr. Jim Davis, human sciences faculty, traveled to Washington, D.C. in June 2014 to share Oregon's efforts to combat mental health issues and addiction in seniors with the National Coalition on Mental Health and Aging.

Our graduates often go on to work in the helping professions such as human services, counseling, social work and education.
The department, led by nationally prominent gerontology scholar Jennifer Sasser, provides rigorous and highly personalized courses of learning that allow you to fully explore human studies, psychology, sociology, anthropology and gerontology.
