Entrepreneurial Management
Bill Rivoire has his own consulting practice, working with entrepreneurs and early-stage companies to help them leverage strategic opportunities for growth. He has served as chief executive and chief financial officer of emerging companies, and as an NASD-registered financial operations principal for several New York Stock Exchange and NASD-member firms. He has particular expertise in financial and strategic management, and needs assessment, particularly in start-up organizations.
Bill's primary academic disciplines are English literature of the 18th century and the Romantic Period. He is a believer in the Socratic method of teaching: that is, learning comes from the process of inquiry — why things are (or are not), how they might be, and what are the instruments of change. Bill has taught at Marylhurst since 2000.
