Lillieth Grand, music therapy faculty, published an article in the winter 2014 issue of Spectrums Magazine, a regional publication on autism issues.

Music Therapy Master's Program Approved

The Marylhurst University Board of Trustees approved a new Master of Arts in Music Therapy degree program in October 2014. Classes start September 2015.

Marylhurst Chamber Choir Performs at Invitational

The Marylhurst Chamber Choir, led by Dr. Justin Smith, has been invited to perform at the Oregon Music Educators Association All State conference in Eugene in January 2015.

Lauridsen Concert To Air On All Classical Portland

Last fall's concert featuring composer-in-residence Morten Lauridsen and the Marylhurst choirs, led by Choral Director Justin Smith, was broadcast on All Classical Portland radio on June 15, 2014.

John Paul's City Girl Performed by Vancouver Symphony

Dr. John Paul's original score to the 1930 silent film City Girl was performed by members of the Vancouver Symphony on May 18, 2014.

Maya Story Presents at Music & Imagery Conference

Maya Story, music therapy faculty, will give a presentation on guided imagery and music at the Association for Music and Imagery in June 2013.

John Paul's Film Score Featured in Festival

Dr. John Paul, music department chair, will conduct a live performance of his musical score for the 1930 silent film City Girl at the Astoria Music Festival on June 20, 2013.
