About

After completing his Master's degree, Peter traveled the world doing location recording of modern classical music and environmental soundscapes before settling in Portland.

In addition to his teaching activities at Marylhurst over the past dozen years, he has performed in musical theater productions for the Broadway Rose and Lakewood companies (as well as two Gilbert & Sullivan operas for Marylhurst) and played in a variety of styles with local music ensembles, including 3 Leg Torso, Trio Tsuica, Octet Noir, and The Accidental Ensemble.

Peter has completed composition commissions from Sony Digital Audio Services and the Oregon Zoo, participated in the Nautilus Composer's Residency in 1997, and served as the composer for the Celebrate Merce! Symposium at Reed College in 2004. Peter is owner and manager of Sonosphere, a digital audio production facility in Portland, Oregon.
