Degree Requirements

BA in Science: General Science Concentration

Minimum of 180 total quarter credits
Minimum of 60 upper-division credits
Minimum of 45 credits from Marylhurst
80 credits required for major

Foundation Courses - 45 crs.

45 credits are required in a variety of science disciplines such as biology, chemistry, physics, ecology, earth science, meteorology, astronomy, or oceanography. Includes required course Math Skills for Scientists.

Core Concentration Courses - 20 credits

Research Methods
Internship in Science 
    
or Research Project

Choose additional courses from the following:
Environmental Chemistry
The Power of Thought
Columbia: Great River Under Stress
Principles of Environmental Science
Geosystems: Understanding Our Living Planet

Concentration Electives - 15 credits

Courses are selected from upper-division science and math courses offered by the department (or courses in other disciplines that support general science concentration).
