Jan Dabrowski's career in science began at the age of five with a visit to the Hayden Planetarium in New York City. He has maintained an avid interest in astronomy, physics and other sciences ever since.

Consults on various exhibit projects with the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) and other science education organizations around the world.
Directed the development of a NASA funded exhibition, Eyes on Earth, that visited science museums around the nation. (2003 - 2008)
Held various positions at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) including Science Director and Kendall Planetarium Manager. (1984 - 2003)
Directed the Head Start Summer Science Institute at Marylhurst University. (1998 - 2001)
Has taught college-level courses in astronomy and physics since 1976 at schools including Marylhurst University, Fayetteville State University (North Carolina) and Community College of Allegheny County (Pennsylvania).
Developed exhibits for science museums in the United States, Saudi Arabia and Israel.
Trained evaluator for the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
