Global Studies

The global studies courses provide students with fundamental geographic and cultural knowledge of so-called Third World or non-Western countries and their complex relations to Western modernization and globalization.

Moreover, these classes examine the diverse cultural values (religious, political, economic) held by peoples of different ethnic groups, races and classes, and how their relation to the contemporary economic scene radically affects these values.
