Media and Film Studies

The media and film studies courses explore questions that deal with the political and ethical relationship between art, media and society, with attention paid to the current evolution of media and the influence of technology on what has been previously defined only as artistic endeavor.

Depending on the course, a range of artistic, political and cultural phenomena will be discussed, such as film, literature, new media, digital humanities, advertising, popular music, consumerism, global media, television, virtual reality and the Internet.
