About

Marian Pierce's short stories have appeared in Portland Monthly, Gentlemen's Quarterly, Creative Writers' Handbook, Scribner's Best of the Fiction Workshops 1997, STORY, The Mississippi Review, Confrontation, Puerto del Sol, The Japan Times and Yomimono. Her awards and fellowships include winning the Frederick Exley fiction competition sponsored by GQ, and a fellowship from the Oregon Arts Commission. Marian has been teaching at Marylhurst since 1999.
