About

Duane Gehlsen specializes in cultural theory, but he also conducts research in archaeology (South Africa, Near East, and the Northwest Coast of North America) and physical anthropology (evolution of the brain and intelligence, sexual dimorphism). Dr. Gehlsen has studied complexity theory extensively, and has used it to synthesize the only scientific theory that explains cultural phenomena and cultural evolution. He is currently writing a series of articles that are based on his unique theory (Complex-Systems Theory of Culture). A few of the more important topics are: the current economic crisis (and how to end it), how to produce a robust and sustainable economy, how to achieve educational excellence in our public schools, how to reduce mental illness, and how to reduce addiction and other obsessive compulsive disorders.
