Adam Graves is a board certified art therapist and National Certified Counselor. He has been on the faculty of Marylhurst University since 2004, first as an adjunct faculty member, and now as an Assistant Professor.
His clinical work focused on art therapy with children, adolescents, and families in both residential treatment and a therapeutic school program. Adam teaches several core courses in the first year of the program and coordinates the first year field placements.
Adam's research interest is in assessment, specifically examining the use of standardized drawings and scoring systems in art-based assessment. He recently published a book review in The Arts in Psychotherapy Journal and presented his research at the 2012 Annual Conference of the American Art Therapy Association.
