About
Laura Minato is a board certified art therapist and a National Certified Counselor.
Her work as an adjunct instructor for Marylhurst University started in 2001 and she
has taught several different courses throughout the years. Laura has also been the
child development specialist at Beavercreek Elementary School since 1996 where she
has occasionally provided practicum and fieldwork supervision for Art Therapy Counseling
graduate students. Past experience as a family therapist in residential and outpatient
settings have influenced her counseling practice.
Laura is committed to educating others about art therapy through her facilitation of workshops and presentations throughout the community. She is a member of the American Art Therapy Association, the National Education Association, and the Oregon Education Association.
