Department of Education

Marylhurst University's Department of Education offers two graduate degrees: a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Master of Education. These master's programs in education were developed based on Marylhurst's more than 75-year history of exemplary teacher preparation at the undergraduate level.

If you are looking to enter the teaching profession, Marylhurst's innovative master's in teaching degree program is designed to meet rigorous state and national standards, giving you skills to meet the needs of today's students and the challenges of tomorrow's classrooms.

If you already are a licensed teacher but wish to complete a master's degree, the Master of Education degree program makes you eligible for permanent licensure.
