Faculty with career-field experience

Study weather with meteorologist George Miller, who wrote the book Pacific Northwest Weather. Discover swamps and bogs with Pat Willis, an award-winning wetlands educator. Explore salmon conservation with climatologist-hydrologist Kyle Dittmer. Forge your knowledge of environmental ethics with Lisa Jo Frech, executive director of Raindrops to Refuge.

Our Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Science is designed to prepare you for a variety of career paths or graduate study. Our graduates are working in the field at all levels, from management and communication to research and field studies. 

Focus your studies in two concentrations

You can choose one of two concentrations: environmental science or general science.

Upon completing the program, you will have developed a full appreciation of what science means to both global and local communities.
