Natural resources, environmental science and nonprofit management
Lisa Jo is a consultant for natural resource agencies and environmental nonprofits, specializing in board and organizational development, executive coaching, communications, and strategic planning. She is also a wilderness guide, providing backpacking, sea kayaking, and cross country ski trips.
In addition to teaching at Marylhurst, Lisa Jo teaches in the Environmental Studies Department at Pacific University.
Lisa Jo founded the Nanticoke Watershed Alliance, a regional environmental consortium of 36 diverse organizations spanning two states and five counties, and served as its Executive Director for 12 years. She worked as an environmental planner for the State of Virginia, the State of Delaware, and the National Park Service Rivers and Trails Program. She founded two local land trusts and created three environmental documentaries.
