Marylhurst alumni and faculty in the music therapy program took an active role in the planning and presentation of the 2014 Western Regional American Music Therapy Association conference in Portland.
The Office of Admissions offers two scheduled group tours of the Marylhurst campus every week.
You are invited to join us on Tuesdays at 11:00 am or Thursdays at 3:00 pm. Tours last approximately 30 minutes and begin and end in the Office of Admissions located in Aquinas Hall.

1. B.P. John Administration Building: One of the original college buildings, the Administration Building was rededicated in 1988 in honor of B.P. John, pioneer furniture manufacturer of the area and father of Marylhurst's first registrant in 1930, Imelda John Condon '34. It now houses Reception, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, Registrar's Office, the Department of Education, and several classrooms and administration offices.
2. Aquinas Hall: Named for St. Thomas Aquinas, patron of Catholic universities. This hall was renovated in 2010 for the Office of Admissions.
3. Knight's Green: A sprawling green lawn, named in honor of Nike's Phil and Penny Knight whose generosity made possible the Marylhurst Knights Opportunity Scholarship Program.
4. Shoen Library: The university library, dedicated to the memory of Marylhurst alum Anna Mary Carty Shoen.
5. Marylhurst Fountain: The Sisters' Chronicle record that the fountain was paid for through the donations of the men employed at the college. You know spring has arrived when the fountain turns on!
6. Bookstore Cafe: Located inside Clark Commons, the Jitter 'n' Jive Cafe offers coffee, tea, baked goods, and a cozy place to study or socialize. The Bookstore is a vibrant center of campus community.
7. Clark Plaza: Recently renovated, the plaza provides an area for students and faculty to study, talk, reflect, and enjoy the outdoors.
8. Davignon Hall: The Art Therapy Counseling Department makes its home in Davignon.
9. Marian Hall: Built first as a residence hall, it became home to the Student Union until 1974. Now it houses University Ministry, Career Services, Prior Learning Assessment, School of Business, and a number of other University departments, as well as Pacific International Academy, an ESL program partner.
10. Flavia Hall: Originally a student residence, it was named for Mother Mary Flavia Dunn who shaped the educational vision of the Holy Names Sisters in the Pacific Northwest. In 1997, Flavia's west wing was remodeled for faculty offices, the ground floor was redesigned as the Merlo Science Center, and Flavia Salon was restored to its original grandeur.
11. Edwin E. Mayer Art Building: Built for art and home economics, Mayer is now an expanded Art and Interior Design Department. It is named for Edwin E. Mayer of the Sawyer Co. and father of three Marylhurst alumnae.
12. The Art Gym: This former gymnasium hosted many events: musical and dramatic performances, commencement, basketball games. In 1980, the space was transformed into The Art Gym, the award-winning university gallery and educational space for emerging and established artists based in the Pacific Northwest.
13. St. Catherine Music Building: The first and original student residence, it was renovated in 1990 as the home of the University Department of Music.
14. St. Anne's Chapel: The campus chapel is home to many events, such as Baccalaureate Mass and musical performances.
15. Wiegand Hall: Through the E.L. Wiegand Foundation, the former College chapel was renovated for use as a 100-seat lecture and recital hall.
