How Long After I Submit My Application Will I Get an Admissions Decision?

If we have all the documents (transcripts, essays or anything else required) and your completed online application, it typically takes less than a week to receive an admissions decision for entrance into our undergraduate program. For graduate programs, it depends on if the admissions process requires an interview or audition. But know that we want to provide you with an answer as soon as possible.

Can I Submit my Application Without All the Required Documents?

Yes – that’s totally ok. We know that official transcripts may take a few days to reach us or it may take your references time to complete your recommendation. Once you submit your application, one of our admissions counselors will reach out to you to let you know what else is needed or documents you may be missing.

Is There a Fee for Applying?

Yes – currently the application fee is $50. You can pay by credit card.

Are There Minimum Requirements for Applying to a Bachelor’s Degree Program?

There are. If you want to complete your bachelor’s degree from Marylhurst, you will need a high school diploma or G.E.D. and you will also need to have a 2.25 minimum GPA on college work or a 2.5 minimum GPA on high school work. View our complete admissions requirements.

Can I Get My Transfer Credits Evaluated Before Applying?

Absolutely! It’s one of our specialities, and it’s free. We can do an unofficial transfer-credit evaluation before you even apply so you can get a sense of which of your past credits may transfer into Marylhurst. Is There Any Way to Earn College Credit for Previous Work Experiences?

At Marylhurst, there is! You have two options for earning college credit for work or knowledge you’ve gained either through on-the-job training, through volunteering, special seminars or workshops.  You can either participate in our Prior Learning Assessment program or do Credit-by-Exam.
